Despite having a degree in Art History, Jonny Bruce has always worked in horticulture - at Aberglasney Gardens in Wales before spending two years at Great Dixter in East Sussex. He went on to work at de Hessenhof for four years, a nursery in Holland, famous for his huge plant range. He is now back in England, aiming to set up his own nursery, but also writing and doing botanical illustration. Here he talks about his life and plans.
