She is a correspondent for the NY Times and her awaytogarden.com website and blog is an impressive portal for so much really useful garden information, along with recipes, cartoons and podcasts. We talk to her about her gardening journey, in particular her fascination with the animal life of the garden. We also cover some of the, sometimes divisive, issues in US gardening, such as attitudes to non-native plants and lawns and their alternatives.
