Till Hofmann on Dry Climate Perennials
Till talks about gardening in Lower Franconia in southern Germany under increasingly extreme conditions. The Würzburg area has always been a dry region and has been a hotspot of climate change for years. "Die Staudengärtnerei", which he runs together with his wife Fine Molz in Rödelsee, is therefore trying to find sustainable concepts for using perennials under the conditions of increasingly hot days and omnipresent summer drought. Plants with future potential are presented and shown in use, and mulching techniques and care strategies are introduced. Til was formerly Head Gardener at Hermannshof in Weinheim.
