Ben Pope - Embracing the Seasons - Winter

Join Benjamin Pope for the winter session of his series ‘Embracing the Seasons’. This season Ben will be looking at what to enjoy in the garden, focusing on the the peace and stillness, low light and structure with highlights of sporadic flowers. He will be explaining all about the all important winter maintenance, which includes: glasshouse work including forcing, early cuttings and divisions, seasonal preparation including lifting, dividing and staking, winter pruning and the training of fruit and roses, seed ordering and sowing plans, tree and shrub planting and repotting. The plants of interest for this season will include, winter-flowering shrubs, bulbs, perennials, interest, seed heads and stem structure.
